August variety swap
The item for the variety swap this month was some kind of atc holder - I decided to alter this box (it started life as a washing tablet box) to store atcs in. I covered it with some lovely paper - I think its Brenda Pinnick (but not 100% sure) and line the inside. I then brushed it over with Anitas 3D glaze, added a raffia "ribbon" and a Making Memories bookplate using rub-ons for the label.

Altered tin
I altered this little tin for a swap organised by Tracy on Crafting Corner. It is a flat miniature cigar tin which I painted with green acrylic then covered the front ,back & inside with Making Memories Boho Chic paper then sealed with clear gloss. Inside I put some little gift cards and evelopes which have been painted with H20s then stamped with Studio G mini stamps overstamped with a dragonfly (freebie from Craft Stamper)

Altered box
You may recognise this well known brand of choc box! I liked the paper it was wrapped in so decided to use it to alter the box! Sealed it with 3D glaze, added sequin ribbon and used a metal tag , thick embossed it & added a round black gem whilst it was still molten. The inside is lined with black felt.

Fat page swap - anything altered
"Anything altered" fat page swap hosted by Monalisa on Lots to Do. The first one has an altered mini domino, the second a leather label, third jigsaw pieces, fourth bottle top & fifth bottle top & a piece of thin wood. It was a bit of a challenge............!

Altered box
Decided to alter this detergent box as it is the perfect size for storing atcs!
I first painted it with several rough coats of white acrylic paint inside and out then "daubed" with several coats of black acrylic using a cosmetic sponge which gives a surface that feels a bit like old leather, a bit distressed. I then embossed with a versamark pad through some plasterboard scrim, overlapping and varying the pressure to give distressed/aged effect & heat embossed
with silver. Finally I added a black button which was stamped and embossed with silver also.

The Beach Hut - thoughts of Summer
Can't wait any longer to blog this! It was made for a mystery swap on Crafting Corner - the recipient never guessed who made it so time to 'fess up! The base is made from a tray that had embellishments in and the doors from balsa wood which were painted with thin white acrylic paint to give a sea-side feel, then edged with dyed string, brads for the door knobs and a rub-on. Various bits and bobs used to fill the "shelves" with summery images. I really enjoyed making this.............hope you like it!
