Canvas "sampler"

This "sampler" is once again inspired by a project in the Craft Stamper mag (if you have never read it you have missed out!) designed by Carol Quance.
My sampler is a bit smaller than A4 (the one in the mag was 5 x 7in) .Painted the backgound with black acrylic then stamped in silver & white & edged the board with silver embossing powder. The square (top left) is made fron a piece of thin metal, the text stamped & embossed, the "frame" created by squiggling with an embossing tool then the metal wrapped around a piece of mount board. The heart was a £1 shop find , the elephant made from utee. The tag was covered in thick gesso then "pounced" to give a hammered effect, the letters etc added whilst still wet then the surface coloured with silver rub-on wax & a black inkpad. The key is dipped in utee & stamped. The butterfly is a die-cut covered with duck tape and distressed with wire & thread wrapped round . The star is a metal tag, stamped image then covered with gloss finish, beads & wire added. Finally, the black ribbon was stamped & embossed, the buckle a junk shop find & mounted onto black gloss card. By the way - the pink is not attached to it ,was just the box it was resting on!

Sachets/mini cushions

I made these for the Variety Swap which I host on Crafting Corner. They are little sachets or mini cushions, which can be filled with pot pourri if liked. I made mine from mulberry paper, the background coloured with H2os and then over-stamped the image, glued the edges and trimmed with fancy scissors. The red one is just hand made paper and a few gems, the one with the lady mulberry paper, image & sticky ribbon.

Collage on canvas....

Found a scrap of fabric & this is how it ended up! Strange how my mind works................lol!
First covered the canvas(5 x 7in) in beige/brown acrylic then added gesso & red acrylic through some sequin waste, added the fabric which I frayed round the edges. Used some of the resulting fibres down the right edge, added beads & some odd bits of utee & finally the butterfly, which is made of card, heat embossed in gold, feathers etc added & voila!!
