Postcard swap

Andrea is hosting an ongoing postcard swap on LTD using the letters of the alphabet. So here is a b & c.....or c b & a! Anyway, A was created using a set from Serif digital scrapbooking, parts of which have been 3D'd, B has an inked background then ran a Versamark pad over sequin waste to get the pattern & embossed with white on one side adding the flag and the bear
(Cant remember where they came from so apologies!) C has a textures gold background , a chinese dragon image (again unknown source) printed the word China on the computer & added the "seal" which is made by stamping into hot embossing powder.

Swap Challenge - Wearable Art

For the July Swap Challenge on ATC forum - hosted by moi! - I decided we should make some wearable art. I chose to make this necklace. The heart is made of utee, the 2 holes made with a hot embossing tool (knew it would come in handy for something!) then strung onto a thin black lace. The round beads are wood except for the pearl ones and the long beads are made from paper (K&Co) which was cut into strips and rolled then brushed with glaze. The fastening is a wooden bead and loop.

Home Swap

Lot to Do forum has moved to a new home so Zoe is hosting a swap with a home theme. My first piece is along the lines of a "sampler" but has no real stitching! The background paper (Brenda Pinnick I think) was glued to some mountboard with the lace sandwiched in the middle, added some faux stitching, chpboard letters, flower, ribbon & a butterfly then run ons for the "sweet home" sentiment.
The second is a very simple keyring with chipboard letters and the last a fridge magnet made from mountboard painted with green red & yellow acrylic paint then "squidged" (technical term there!) to create the background. I used gold embossing powder round the edges & gold rub on wax after stamping the script.Stamped the lion doorknocker (Crafty Individuals) and cut out, coloured & embossed .

All Things Crafty Art Raffle

Not the best picture in the world - sorry! Anyway, the theme this month is "vintage" - I have made this faux book for my entry. The cover is made from board covered with canvas which has been printed. I then added some decoration and a piece of antique lace with a leather buckle & a little hanging heart. The inside has a little secret within - so cant tell you can I?!!lol
All the images were printed from a Crafters Companion cd called Vintage Times.

Backgrounds

These background were inspired by an article in this months CS mag by Liesbeth Fidder - once again I didn't have the same stuff she used in the article so had to improvise. Really enjoyed doing them and discovering old stamps that i had forgotten about! I have used inks and cosmic shimmer paints too.All Things Crafty Swap Challenge

This months swap challenge is to make something using fabric. I chose to make this little hanging. I covered some mountboard with cream cotton which has a white floral pattern, then cut a shape from the red checked fabric with a Sizzix die - I stuck the fabric to some paper with double sided tape before cutting - added this with the little wooden bird which is also covered in fabric & a beaded fringe with velvet ribbon & fabric flower. Finally I used a rub on for the word & a little glitter glue.

June Variety Swap
June Variety Swap on Crafting Corner - this month the theme is "move it!" Make something that moves so fo my piece I made a card with a circle on the front & an aperture that reveals 3 different pics when turned. The papers were free with Simply Cards Mag. The middle circle has glitter glue on it but it doesn't show much on here - it has buckled the paper very slightly -oops!
