Its been a while .....

I have been re-thinking the whole crafting thing.....and whilst I still make some cards etc and use digital crafting mostly I am concentrating on encaustic/mixed media art these days. I have exhibited at a couple of local venues and sold a couple there which was a great boost !
Here are a few of the latest pics....

Encaustic pic...

Just a quick one lol..a little A6 flower painting .

Encaustic painting which I did yesterday......

More encaustics.....

The latest encaustic wax paintings.........

Scapbooking with encaustic wax...

I have been experimenting with scrapbook pages and encaustic wax....not sure about it tho' ! What do you think folks?

2 posts in one day! I have called this one 'asters', the background is done with the iron , the flower centres 'blown' and the petals with a brush. There is quite a bit of gold in this pic  but it doesn't show up very well in the photo.

Todays encaustic wax offering is called 'Delphiniums', the wax is applied then blown with a heatgun then detail added with a stylus.

New encaustic pic....a bit moody this one !

New encaustic pic. A smaller version of the one below..(this one is better I think) 4in x 6in.

A new encaustic wax pic...They look best in the frame but cant get it in the scanner ! This one is about 8in x 6in.

Encaustic art in minature!

These art cards (same as ATCs except you can sell them!) are created with encaustic waxes. Fun to do and dont take too long!
We had a stall at an Open Gardens event at the weekend and I am happy to say that I sold 2 encaustic art pictures and the pink "inky flower" picture from the previous post plus the altered box and quite a few cards!! Not big money but sure makes you feel good!

Encaustic art on canvas

Did this just to try the wax on canvas - not a great work of art but considering it was done with an encaustic iron I am not too displeased with it.
