All things crafty - art raffle

This months art raffle theme is "Oriental" so i have made this little notebook - the covers are made from 2 beer mats which have been painted quite thickly with black acrylic then stamped with a fabric effect stamp & clear embossed - it gives it a sort of old leather look and feel. I then added a strip of red paper with the oriental writing, a piece of ribbon and the main image. Stamped and embossed a little gold pattern in the corner and made a "seal" from coloured wax.

Finally I edged the beer mats with some round leather effect laces.
