A little mixed media/altered thingy !....

This started life as a thimble shelf , bought from a charity shop. It is roughly 8" high and 5.5" wide. I painted firstly with matt white emulsion, then covered that with white tissue paper which had been stamped with script in black. Added various inks in lavender and dusky pink followed by the trinkets and embellishments .
I am going to enter this in the challenge over on Vintage Artisans..the theme is vintage shabby chic.

Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. It's doubly appreciated as it's enabled me to visit you and see your beautiful art pieces. I love altered art and anything that looks distressed and this is gorgeous. The bits and bobs you've added are so pretty and the little vase of flowers is amazing.

BTW I had a look back at your encaustic art too ......... stunning work!
